Tim Marks

Executive Honcho

Tim Marks is grateful to be the Owner and Chief Improvisational Officer of The KC Improv Company. He started in improv comedy in 2001 to become a better attorney and to have fun. He did both. Now he has stopped practicing law, and he has more fun. His entertainment resume has expanded to include local movies, short films, plays, stand-up comedy, and one national TV commercial. He was a co-founder of Fountain City Sketch Comedy, which has had five seasons at the Kick.

His specialty remains improv comedy, and he has been lucky to perform with great people in Chicago, New York, Florida, and even Topeka, Kansas. Tim is the Director and one of the instructors of the KC Improv Training Center, which he founded in 2010. He has also taught improv in seven states, and at multiple national improv festivals, and he helps produces the KC Improv Festival every fall. He was featured in Jimmy Carrane's improv podcast "Improv Nerd," as were many much more famous people. He thinks you are good.
